Alra Therapy Lotion was developed especially for skin exposed to radiation therapy by a European trained cosmetic chemist whose wife was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Since the introduction of Alra (named for “All Radiation”) in 1988, the lotion has provided soothing relief for acute radiation dermatitis.

Alra Therapy Lotion offers soothing relief to skin exposed to radiation therapy, and is also effective in the treatment of eczema, sunburn, abrasions, diaper rash, and other severe dry skin conditions. Its use encourages individuals to actively participate in their healing.

• Soluble Collagen is a moisturizer that binds and retains many times its own weight in water.
• Allantoin helps burned skin to regenerate itself by promoting and stimulating new and healthy tissue growth.
• Lanolin is a natural moisturizer.
• To reduce the possibility of allergic reactions, no fragrance or color is added.

Alra Mild Conditioning shampoo utilizes a balanced surfactant system which provides low irritation but excellent cleansing and wet and dry combing properties. Since cancer treatment may result in hair loss, sensitive scalp, or hair that is dry and brittle, extremely gentle care and conditioning is especially important.

Alra Mild Conditioning Shampoo is also safe and gentle as a total body shower gel for sensitive skin and scalp.

In addition to using Alra Mild conditioning Shampoo while undergoing cancer treatment, patients should also minimize brushing and combing hair, and the use of styling aids such as hair spray, electric curling irons, hot rollers and hot blow dryers. Postpone chemical hair treatments such as permanent waving or coloring until about 8 weeks after chemotherapy.
